This Time Change Got Me All Messed up.
As we enter into the Spring season, it's always important to take a moment, to slow down and to do some self-inquiry.
Happy Friday Friends!
Springtime's arrival often feels like a welcome breath of fresh air after the long winter months. Yet, despite the promise of warmer days and blooming flowers, I must admit, I've been struggling a bit with the time change.
Normally, it’s not an issue for me, but damn, this last one got me all messed up. I went online to figure wtf, and I read that adjusting to those early sunrises and longer evenings can throw off our internal clocks, leaving us feeling a bit disoriented and out of sync.
Well, that’s me for sure. I leave for London tomorrow for WOHASU 2024, I haven’t even started packing lol, and I want to blame it all on: the time change.
Before I get into today’s topic though, I wanted to let you all know that my dear friend Nake Klemp is on the show today! His book OPEN: Living with an Expansice Mind in a Distracted World has been one of my favorite reads! Check it out on Youtube [here] or listen on Spotify [

We’ve also been seeing a steady growth on the podcast, AND here on substack so I just wanted to take a moment and appreciate you all for being here. I’m so grateful.
Ok, back to the changing seasons…
This time change, got me thinking about when I moved to Portland over a decade ago. It’s hard to believe that our stint there happened so long ago. I experienced some of the most beautiful Spring seasons there, and also… some of the most intense winters.
Growing up in sunny Southern California, the idea of distinct seasons was more of a storybook fantasy than a reality. It wasn't until I experienced the magic of spring in the Pacific Northwest that I truly understood its transformative power.
